Neuropsychological method in rehabilitation of children with ICP syndrome.

Introduction.

Recently doctors, psychologists observed increase among children range of health problems: the abundance of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal problems; reduction of immunity and disagreements of the various systems of the body: the delay and distortion mental development, immaturity of voluntary self-regulation, disorders of speech, writing and calculation, various psychopathological  phenomena. Science developmental neuropsychology is a popular method of syndromic psychological analysis deficit of mental activity in children associated with one or another of cerebral insufficiency or the lack of higher mental functions. In organic affection of the brain and nervous system develop a number of diseases, in particular Infant Cerebral Palsy (ICP). To groups of skills, which can be violated with cerebral palsy include: gross and small motor skills, verbal skills, thinking and memory, speech. This is connected with the spreading among children «disgenetics syndrome»: fetal and /or arising in infancy dysfunction, most of early maturing subcortical structures of the brain.

Methods and materials.

In practical work methods are used rehabilitation developed by A.R. Luriya, L.S. Tsvetkova and their disciples, and depend on the individual child. A comprehensive approach includes: neurological examination of the child, medical and physiotherapeutic treatment and individual neuropsychological correction. A neuroscientist gives recommendations on the observance of the days plan, teaches respiratory gymnastics, self-massage, exercises on motor skills. In the treatment of ICP has a approaches: an evolutionary development and reliance on a three-level system in accordance with the teachings of A. Luriya of three functional blocks brains. 1FBB: self-regulation, energy, stato-kinetic balance neiropsihologics processes, he included subcortical and in-depth departments, undercortical and cortical, intra - and  interhemispheric system of the brain; 2 FBB: speech, memory, somatic gnosis, spatial representations, letter, reflection, thinking, analysis; 3 FBB: arbitrary, self-regulation, thinking and semantic function of mental processes, self-control. Based on the results of  neuropsychological examination of selected program of individual neuropsychological classes 1, 2 and 3 of FBB. In rehabilitation are used blocks, sticks, magnetic designer, lotto, puzzles, games, pictures, cards, massage balls of different size, sandbox and toys, bricks, a mosaic, beads with laces, doll on a finger, toys.

Results:

the first results can be observed after three months of training. Assessing visually and tactile obtained result is a child develops optical-spatial sphere of thought, turning to design increasingly complex shapes in space. At the end of each lesson a child is moved to the table sandbox, where is the elaboration of the elements included in the development on the physical level.

Conclusion. Children with ICP syndrome is so different, psychologist have to draw up an individual program neurocorrection. The team of specialists working with the family: neuropsychologist, acupuncturist, kinesioterapist, massage therapist, speech therapist, defectologist and other, thus neuropsychology need to analyse and take into consideration the impact and the results of all of these professionals. Currently the collective work of the neuropsychologist and a team of specialists is the most optimal in rehabilitation of children with ICP syndrome.
